THIS SIDE OF SUNNY - Agay Llanera {Review}

TITLE: This Side of Sunny
AUTHOR/s: Agay Llanera
PUBLICATION DATE: 2015

AVAILABLE AT:  AMAZON | SMASHWORDS

I first learned of Miss Agay Llanera after reading her story Vintage Love. After that, I've always been keeping my eyes open for more works from her and just a few months back, I managed to win a copy of her latest YA - Choco Chip Hips (see my review HERE!) Like the first work of hers that I've read, I greatly enjoyed Jessie and Dave's story :)

That is why, when the author herself had given an opportunity to read and review her latest work - This Side of Sunny, I did not hesitate to help out especially since I'm trying my best to support Filipino indie authors :) Want to help out too? Click on the banner below to find out more!

*Thanks to the author for providing a review copy! Receiving one did not affect my views on the book.

THE SUMMER I TURNED PRETTY - Jenny Han {Review}

TITLE: The Summer I Turned Pretty (Summer#1)
AUTHOR/s: Jenny Han
PUBLICATION DATE: 1st of January, 2009

AVAILABLE AT: AMAZON | BOOK DEPOSITORY

Happy 2016 everyone!

Since we are still on vacation, I'm taking my time to slowly go my way through my gigantic TBR pile. It's impossible to finish, I know, but I'm doing my best :)

And for my first 2016 read, I have the first book in Jenny Han's  Summer Trilogy - The Summer I Turned Pretty. I've been wanting to read this for quite some time now as I've seen most of my friends read (and love!) it over the course of the previous semester. As a big fan of the aforementioned author's To All the Boys I've Loved Before duology (check my review of Book 1 HERE! and Book 2 HERE!) I was excited to finally get the chance to see for myself her well-known series. Unfortunately, the first book didn't quite meet what I've been expecting.

SECOND CHANCE SUMMER: A Review :)

TITLE: Second Chance Summer
AUTHOR/s: Morgan Matson
PUBLICATION DATE: 8th of May, 2012

AVAILABLE AT: AMAZON | BOOK DEPOSITORY

If there is a singular person who introduced me to what became my brightest burning passion that is reading, it would definitely be my cousin. So, fast forward to several years later, she still is my go-to book buddy and her recs never fail me (except for this one series about vampires and werewolves. It's a no for me.)

Moving on,  I've been hooked by Morgan Matson's previous work so when my cousin basically shoved this book to my face, internally screaming "read thiiiiiis" with tears streaming down her cheeks, I just went on and gave it a shot and yes, I can say that my cousin never fails me. *waves* hi Cuz!

Earlier this year, I reviewed Miss Ines Bautista-Yao's Only A Kiss (check out my review HERE!) Fast forward to months later, she came up with this newest thing of hers- Just A Little Bit of Love: A companion collection of shorts that are set in Only A Kiss universe! Of course, I was extremely thankful to be given a chance to participate in the little blog tour that Miss Ines herself has organized (*squeee* because fave author alert! <3) I'll read anything that has her name as an author hahaha!

Anyway, I wouldn't make this long because I have a little treat for everyone just a little further down: today in Le Bibliophile~, we have the gang from one of the shorts in this collection and I had an amazing chat with them! Go check it out below :D

Despite being a little bit (Read: A LOT) of a scaredy-cat, I've always enjoyed reading and watching stories under the horror, thriller, paranormal, and fantasy genres. I find them interesting especially when they tackle beings that I don't usually see every day.

That is why I was too excited to sign up for this blog tour hosted by Dianne at Oops! I Read A Book Again especially because they are written by Filipino Authors (yay!)

#StrangeLit was a writing class held in 2015. For five weeks, participating authors wrote paranormal/fantasy stories, and this ebook bundle is a collection of work produced during the class. Read more #StrangeLit stories in the anthologies INCREDIBLE TRUTHS, DARKEST DREAMS, and KILLER SEASONS.
