IT'S NOT SUMMER WITHOUT YOU - Jenny Han {Review}

TITLEIt's Not Summer Without You (Summer#2)
AUTHOR/s: Jenny Han

PUBLICATION DATE: 1st of January, 2010
AVAILABLE AT: AMAZON | BOOK DEPOSITORY

Started the month with a review of a Jenny Han book so it seems cool to end it with another one. A few weeks ago, I've reviewed The Summer I Turned Pretty - the first book of the Summer Trilogy. Though I didn't like it as much as I expected, I decided to proceed with the next books, hoping that it'll pick up eventually. Fortunately, its second part - It's Not Summer Without You - did...a bit.

WE GO TOGETHER - Carla de Guzman {Review}

TITLE: We Go Together
AUTHOR/s: Carla de Guzman
PUBLICATION DATE19th of January, 2015
AVAILABLE AT:  AMAZON

First of all, happy book birthday We Go Together! Yay!

As part of the celebration, I got the chance to review Miss Carla de Guzman's work (in line with my 'advocacy' in supporting Filipino indie authors. Click the banner below for more info!) I've been hearing her around the bookish-sphere for quite some time now and even got a couple of her previous works from an event that I've participated in but this is actually the first time that I'll be reading her writing and I couldn't be more thrilled!

*Thanks to the author for providing a review copy! Receiving one did not affect my views on the book.

THIS SIDE OF SUNNY - Agay Llanera {Review}

TITLEThis Side of Sunny
AUTHOR/s: Agay Llanera
PUBLICATION DATE: 2015
AVAILABLE AT:  AMAZON | SMASHWORDS

I first learned of Miss Agay Llanera after reading her story Vintage Love. After that, I've always been keeping my eyes open for more works from her and just a few months back, I managed to win a copy of her latest YA - Choco Chip Hips (see my review HERE!) Like the first work of hers that I've read, I greatly enjoyed Jessie and Dave's story :)

That is why, when the author herself had given an opportunity to read and review her latest work - This Side of Sunny, I did not hesitate to help out especially since I'm trying my best to support Filipino indie authors :) Want to help out too? Click on the banner below to find out more!

THE SUMMER I TURNED PRETTY - Jenny Han {Review}

TITLEThe Summer I Turned Pretty (Summer#1)
AUTHOR/s: Jenny Han

PUBLICATION DATE: 1st of January, 2009
AVAILABLE AT: AMAZON | BOOK DEPOSITORY

Happy 2016 everyone!

Since we are still on vacation, I'm taking my time to slowly go my way through my gigantic TBR pile. It's impossible to finish, I know, but I'm doing my best :)

And for my first 2016 read, I have the first book in Jenny Han's  Summer Trilogy - The Summer I Turned Pretty. I've been wanting to read this for quite some time now as I've seen most of my friends read (and love!) it over the course of the previous semester. As a big fan of the aforementioned author's To All the Boys I've Loved Before duology (check my review of Book 1 HERE! and Book 2 HERE!) I was excited to finally get the chance to see for myself her well-known series. Unfortunately, the first book didn't quite meet what I've been expecting.
