THE TRIALS OF APOLLO: THE HIDDEN ORACLE - Rick Riordan {Review}

TITLEThe Hidden Oracle (The Trials of Apollo#1)
AUTHOR/s: Rick Riordan

PUBLICATION DATE: 3rd of May, 2016
AVAILABLE AT:  AMAZON | BOOK DEPOSITORY

Happy 2017!

It’s been a while! (okay, it’s been MORE THAN a while) I’ve been on a pretty rough schedule lately (I know, ugh life) but I’ve missed writing! Of course, there were times when I thought that I should just go ahead and come up with something especially since I’ve been away for too long but then again, I didn’t want to force myself to do it. I didn’t want blogging to be such a chore.

Thankfully, something got me out of my writing funk! I know I just have to write this down and share it with the world or I’ll probably explode with feels. I’m definitely late to the party but it’s never too late to pick up a Rick Riordan book! I’ve been wanting to read this for quite some time now but I guess this week is the perfect time to pick this one up and just go for it.

As expected, Rick Riordan’s “pilot” for his new series did not fail to boost my spirits and I could say that The Trials of Apollo: The Hidden Oracle deserves a slow-clap! Here are some of my thoughts (I promise not to spoil too much!)

30-day Book Challenge: DAY FOURTEEN

"Book Turned Movie and Completely Desecrated"

I know most (if not all) would agree with me on this one: Books are better than movies. And I know that again, most (if not all) of us have that one (or more) book that has been thrashed, pulled apart, and just completely wrecked by its movie adaptation.

So for today's challenge, I have to chose a book that has been turned into a film and is just seriously not up to the standards of book readers. Among all of I have chosen, I guess this one's probably the most fitting for today.

30-day Book Challenge: DAY THIRTEEN

"Your Favorite Writer"

Favorite Writer. Hmmm..tough one. I have a few handfuls in mind but of course, there's someone who's slightly above the rest.

So without further ado, the one I'm picking for today's challenge is:

30-day Book Challenge: DAY ONE

"Best Book You Read Last Year"

It's May! And since I've wanted to do this 30-day challenge for so long (I wonder why I haven't done it before), I'll do it now even though May actually has 31 days :))

So, for the first day, I have to chose the BEST BOOK I'VE READ LAST YEAR. It's pretty tough since there are so many good books I've read during the year 2013. Anyway, here's the choice I've made:

(Minimal to no spoiler review. Go Read!)
TITLE: The Staff of Serapis
(Kane Chronicle-Percy Jackson Crossover#2)
AUTHOR/s: Rick Riordan
PUBLICATION DATE: 8th of April, 2014
Alrighty! I haven't been posting for awhile so I reckon I'd do some back to back to back reviews and I'll be starting with this. Hooray! :)

I've been waiting for this for soooooo long after reading the first one The Son of Sobek. As a big fan of the PJO-HOO series as well as the Kane Chronicles, these crossovers are definitely worth reading! :)
