Caitlin's friendship with Marcus, the de facto frontman of the world's biggest boy band Gezellig, has long been an object of scrutiny by almost everyone--their friends and families, the media, and his fans--ever since they "went public" a couple of years back. Who wouldn't be interested? She was a nobody, catapulted into the limelight of his fame when he struck an unusual friendship with her.

To both Caitlin and Marcus, what they have is a "perfect little thing." But then something comes along and threatens it.

In a no-holds-barred interview, will they finally be forced to settle the score?

To be honest, I'm not a big "band fangirl". Sure, I like a couple of music groups *coughBoyceAvenuecoughNeverTheStrangers* but I'm not as fangirly as when it comes to books/authors. Still, after reading the blurb (and not to say, the superb cover got me wanting to read it at once), I knew I was going to like it and I wasn't disappointed.

There is a certain boy group that immediately popped into my mind as I was reading (Hint: Its shortened name consist of a number and a letter) but even if I'm not a big fan of this boy group, I can definitely say that I'm definitely a Gezer! :) 

The plot was really really good and I found the pages just flying by as I read. I wasn't even tempted to put it down even once. That's how good it was. Even though the story can be quite a trope (or cliche, some would say), it still has some tricks up its sleeve that will surprise the readers. I actually did not expect some of the events that occurred. 

I SO LUUUV the chapter titles since the songs are really cool. And another point to consider why I loved The Real Score is that, come on, who wouldn't want to trade places with Caitlin? And since, as I've mentioned earlier, I'm currently not a BIG fan of Gezellig-like bands (just like the MC at the beginning), who knows? I MIGHT just score some cute, unknown [to me!] vocalist of an international band someday. Hahaha! (Okay, Ailla. Dream. On.)

Overall, it was great! I would've given it a perfect rating if only there weren't some scenes that I was like, "What are you guys doing? No 'Best Friends' act like that! Just get together already!" though I completely understand that it is needed for the plot to go on haha :) 

It was still a good read, nevertheless. The fluffy scenes are so asdfghjkl :") The feels are too much to contain! It's a story that you just need to let out and fangirl on with somebody :) 4.5/5 rating for Kesh Tanglao's The Real Score :)
